Man gets 15 years for HIV sex

An HIV-positive man who had unprotected sex with seven women has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. But the sentence for Adrien Nduwayo was not imposed until after he delivered a long tirade in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster. He stared at several of his accusers during his address, reducing the women to tears as he declared he would never hurt them and criticized police and doctors. Justice John Truscott sentenced Nduwayo to 15 years after deducting two years already served. Nduwayo was convicted in December of five counts of aggravated sexual assault, one of attempted aggravated sexual assault and one of sexual assault. He was accused of deceiving sexual partners about his HIV status and deliberately engaging in unprotected sex.
